Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Ether polymers are hydroxyethyl ethers of cellulose obtained by treating cellulose with sodium hydroxide and reacting it with ethylene oxide. Hydroxyethyl Cellulose polymers are primarily used as water-binders and thickeners in many industrial applications, i.e. personal care products, pharmaceutical formulations, construction materials, adhesives, etc., as well as stabilizers for liquid soaps. Hydroxyethyl Cellulose Chemical Additives are supplied as white free-flowing granular powders that dissolve easily in both cold and hot water to form clear solutions of varying viscosities depending on polymer concentration, type and temperature.

Application

1.As latex raw material. Hydroxyethyl cellulose is the most commonly used thickener in latex paints. In addition to thickening latex paint, it can also emulsify, disperse, stabilize and retain water.
2.For petrochemicals. During drilling, it can improve the sand-carrying ability of the mud and prolong the service life of the drill bit.
3.For pottery. Hydroxyethyl cellulose can be used to prepare high-strength adhesives for ceramics.
